What is the difference between fit-out, renovation and refurbishment?

Interior fit-out means building and finishing the interior - walls, ceilings, floors, surfaces, doors. A renovation refreshes existing rooms, for example with new paint and new floors. A refurbishment also fixes defects and renews building services such as electrics, pipes or the bathroom.

In what order does an interior fit-out happen?

From rough to fine: first cables and walls, then surfaces, and finally floors, doors and final installation. That way nothing finished gets damaged.

1. On-site visit & measurement - discussing rooms, wishes and condition.
2. Detailed quote - every item listed separately, fixed price after measurement.
3. Strip-out - removing old coverings, claddings or walls where needed.
4. Cables and pipes - electrics and, if needed, water and heating.
5. Drywall - walls, ceilings and pre-walls.
6. Filling & painting - to the quality level you want.
7. Floors - preparing the subfloor and laying the covering.
8. Doors & final installation - doors, sockets, lights, skirting boards.
9. Handover - we go through everything together with you.

How long does an interior fit-out take?

It depends on the scope. Some guide values from our projects:

How much does an interior fit-out in Munich cost?

Each trade has its own price, so there is no flat price per square metre for interior fit-out. Two guide values, including 19% VAT:

• Painting - from €10.12 per m² of wall or ceiling area, including paint (more about painting)
• Small bathroom (5-6 m²) - complete renovation around €18,000 (more about bathroom renovation)

For everything else we give a binding price after the on-site visit. The quote lists every item separately, so you see exactly what you are paying for and can decide where to save or upgrade.

Do you also take on individual jobs?

Yes. Not every fit-out is a large project. We also take on individual jobs - a new drywall wall, a new floor in the living room, new interior doors or a fresh coat of paint.
